Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation and economic policies for compliance and impact assessment
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and policy briefs for legislative stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to promote regional economic growth
- Manage public records requests and maintain documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Participate in community outreach events to gather stakeholder feedback
- Support grant application processes for local development projects
- Collaborate with senior analysts on long-term strategic planning documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of policy analysis or government relations experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible scheduling
- Strong understanding of Tennessee's legislative process
- Experience with public records management systems
