Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies for municipal projects
- Manage social media channels and digital communications platforms
- Coordinate public hearings and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Prepare briefing materials and compliance reports for state/federal agencies
- Analyze public feedback data and recommend policy adjustments
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on messaging consistency
- Maintain accurate records of public inquiries and responses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Communications, or related field
- 2+ years experience in government/public sector communications
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress preferred)
- Strong writing skills with portfolio of public-facing materials
- Knowledge of Oregon public records laws and open meeting requirements
- Experience with survey tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey)
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
