Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and carrying materials for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, street sweepers) under supervision
- Assist in storm drain maintenance, pothole repairs, and park landscaping
- Ensure worksite safety compliance and proper equipment maintenance
- Support traffic control and temporary signage during road operations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
- Complete daily work logs and documentation as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction safety protocols
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to obtain flagging certification within 30 days
- Experience with municipal projects preferred but not required
