Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and advanced detection technology
- Conduct thorough physical pat-down searches and body scanning when required
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify suspicious items or activities
- Operate TSA-approved equipment and follow all security protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn TSA systems
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid government-issued photo ID and Social Security card
