Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and baggage screening equipment to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screenings using advanced detection technology
- Perform physical pat-downs and other security measures as required
- Monitor airport operations and respond to security incidents with appropriate protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to maintain security standards
- Document security activities and maintain accurate screening records
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security systems
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
