Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Maintain vigilant observation of public areas for security threats
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Document security incidents and procedural deviations accurately
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status with required immigration documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Ability to pass TSA background investigation and security clearance
- Strong attention to detail with observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English with clear verbal communication skills
- Basic computer literacy for document verification systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
