Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect mail along assigned city routes using approved postal vehicles or foot delivery
- Sort, sequence, and organize mail according to delivery standards and postal regulations
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws and USPS policies
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with residents and businesses
- Complete daily delivery logs and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Perform light maintenance on assigned postal equipment and vehicles
- Adhere to strict security protocols for handling confidential mail and packages
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and walk extended distances
- Basic computer literacy for using USPS tracking systems
- Reliable transportation to and from work location
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Previous delivery or customer service experience preferred
