Responsibilities
- Administer pension benefits including eligibility calculations, distributions, and retirement counseling
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and audit requirements
- Manage investment portfolio reporting and actuarial valuations
- Develop and implement pension plan policies and procedures
- Collaborate with auditors, legal counsel, and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate participant records and reporting systems
- Present complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency with pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Ohio pension laws
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
