Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans including benefit calculations, enrollments, and adjustments
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and state pension laws
- Process retiree applications, distributions, and life event changes
- Conduct plan audits and financial reporting for fiduciary oversight
- Respond to employee/retiree inquiries with accurate benefit guidance
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams on plan optimization
- Develop educational materials for retirement planning seminars
- Maintain accurate participant records in HRIS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
- 3+ years of pension/benefits administration experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 415/401(a) regulations
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, UltiPro)
- CPA or CEBS certification preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with government pension systems highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
