Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations (ERISA, IRS, CalPERS)
- Process retirement applications and calculate benefits with 100% accuracy
- Conduct annual valuations and prepare financial reports for stakeholders
- Develop and implement pension policies aligned with organizational goals
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement plans and benefits
- Collaborate with auditors and legal counsel for compliance reviews
- Monitor legislative changes affecting pension administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and CalPERS guidelines
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pension valuation software
- Professional certification (CEBS, QPA, or QKA) preferred
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to manage complex financial systems
