Responsibilities
- Administer defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans for 300,000+ participants
- Process retirement applications, benefit calculations, and pension distributions accurately
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and annual audits
- Develop educational materials and conduct workshops for plan participants
- Collaborate with HR departments on benefit enrollment and termination processes
- Analyze pension fund data to forecast liabilities and recommend funding strategies
- Manage vendor relationships for record-keeping and investment services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, UltiPro)
- Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS 401(a) and 403(b) regulations
- Excel certification and advanced data analysis capabilities
- Excellent written communication skills for participant education
- Tennessee state residency required within 6 months of hire
