Responsibilities
- Administer pension plans for state and local government employees, including eligibility verification and benefit calculations
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and New Mexico state statutes
- Process retirement applications, distributions, and death benefit claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct member outreach via workshops, webinars, and personalized consultations
- Analyze pension fund performance and prepare regulatory reports for oversight agencies
- Collaborate with investment teams on fund strategy and risk assessment
- Develop and implement process improvements for pension administration workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, CPC, or CFA) preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and pension laws
