Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund accounting, investments, and disbursement processes
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and California state pension laws
- Analyze actuarial reports and financial statements to fund health assessments
- Process retiree applications, benefit calculations, and payment adjustments
- Develop policy recommendations for pension fund sustainability
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Maintain confidential member records in secure government systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- CPA, CFA, or SPHR certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and pension administration software
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k), and CalPERS regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
