Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan enrollment, disbursements, and compliance for municipal employees
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with precision Maintain accurate participant records using specialized pension administration software
- Ensure adherence to ERISA, IRS, and Texas state pension regulations
- Respond to complex participant inquiries regarding retirement benefits
- Collaborate with finance and HR departments on pension strategy
- Prepare quarterly reports for pension fund trustees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or CEBS designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(a), and Texas pension laws
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Weekend shift availability (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm)
- Ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion
