Responsibilities
- Analyze and administer federal pension plans to ensure compliance with OPM regulations and ERISA standards
- Provide technical guidance to federal agencies on retirement plan design, funding strategies, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Conduct audits of pension plan operations and recommend corrective actions for compliance gaps
- Develop educational materials and training programs for agency HR professionals and plan participants
- Collaborate with legal counsel on pension litigation, disputes, and regulatory changes
- Prepare comprehensive reports on pension fund performance, liabilities, and actuarial projections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience in federal or regulated environment
- SPBC or CEBS certification strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, OPM regulations, and federal retirement systems
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial regulations
- Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
