Responsibilities
- Administer and audit federal pension plans ensuring ERISA and IRS compliance
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with 100% accuracy
- Advise federal employees on pension options and retirement planning strategies
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury on pension fund reporting and reconciliation
- Develop training materials for agency HR staff on pension regulations
- Conduct plan audits and prepare compliance reports for congressional review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- Minimum 3 years pension plan administration experience
- SPBC or QKA certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS)
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., PeopleAdmin)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory details
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance
