Responsibilities
- Analyze pension fund investments, contributions, and disbursements using proprietary financial systems
- Prepare actuarial reports and regulatory filings for NYS Retirement Systems
- Advise state agencies on retirement plan eligibility and benefit calculations
- Collaborate with external auditors and investment managers during annual reviews
- Develop training materials for new pension administrators statewide
- Monitor legislative changes affecting pension policy implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and government financial reporting software
- NY State residency required within 90 days of hire
- Series 65 or 63 securities license preferred
- Knowledge of NYS Retirement & Social Security Law
- Ability to obtain federal security clearance
