Responsibilities
- Process retirement applications and pension eligibility verifications
- Assist members with benefit inquiries via phone, email, and in-person appointments
- Maintain accurate pension records using specialized administrative systems
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure compliance with state regulations
- Prepare benefit statements and educational materials for public employees
- Support annual audits and compliance documentation processes
- Participate in continuous training on pension regulations and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Customer service mindset and collaborative team spirit
