Responsibilities
- Manage and audit pension plans for ERISA compliance and fiduciary responsibility
- Analyze complex retirement plan documents to identify regulatory violations
- Conduct investigations into pension plan irregularities and recommend corrective actions
- Develop educational materials for employers on pension plan administration best practices
- Collaborate with legal teams on enforcement actions and regulatory updates
- Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership on pension market trends and compliance risks
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries regarding pension regulations and plan modifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in pension plan administration or ERISA compliance
- SPDC or QPA certification strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS Code 401(k), and DOL regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Alight)
- Ability to interpret complex legal documents and financial statements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in compliance review
- Experience with remote work tools and virtual collaboration platforms
