Responsibilities
- Manage and process federal retirement applications under CSRS and FERS systems
- Conduct benefit calculations and provide retirement counseling to federal employees
- Ensure compliance with federal pension regulations and OPM guidelines
- Develop and present educational materials on retirement planning
- Collaborate with HR departments to resolve complex pension-related inquiries
- Review and audit pension records for accuracy and completeness
- Stay current on legislative changes affecting federal retirement benefits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension administration or benefits management
- Knowledge of federal retirement systems (CSRS/FERS) and TSP regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations
- Excellent communication skills for client counseling and presentations
- Proficiency in benefits administration software (e.g., HRIS systems)
- Federal security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain
