Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize municipal pension plans in compliance with ERISA and state regulations
- Analyze financial data to forecast retirement liabilities and investment performance
- Process benefit enrollments, distributions, and compliance reporting
- Collaborate with auditors and legal teams for regulatory compliance
- Develop educational materials for retirees and employees
- Manage pension fund documentation and record-keeping systems
- Respond to inquiries from stakeholders with precise financial guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or government finance experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k) regulations, and Washington state pension laws
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Pension Administrator (QKA) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
