Responsibilities
- Review and process retirement benefit applications with 99.8% accuracy
- Advise retirees on pension options, survivor benefits, and tax implications
- Maintain compliance with IRS, DOL, and Tennessee retirement regulations
- Analyze actuarial reports to recommend plan adjustments
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee retirement planning
- Prepare quarterly pension fund performance reports for oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years pension administration or retirement planning experience
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) or equivalent designation
- Advanced knowledge of ERISA, IRC 401(a), and Tennessee retirement laws
- Proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, NorthStar)
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts
- Ability to work 20-25 hours weekly with flexible scheduling
