Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan lifecycle administration including enrollment, distributions, and retirement calculations
- Ensure compliance with Florida state pension regulations and federal ERISA guidelines
- Analyze complex financial data to maintain accurate participant records and benefit projections
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and external auditors for seamless plan operations
- Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions for plan participants
- Implement process improvements using pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Proven)
- Respond to participant inquiries with clear, compliant financial guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Deep knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and Florida state pension statutes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to complex numerical data
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder education and conflict resolution
- CFP, CEBS, or SPHR certification preferred
- Experience with remote work and digital collaboration tools
