Responsibilities
- Administer state pension plans including eligibility verification, benefit calculations, and retirement processing
- Ensure compliance with Florida Statutes and federal pension regulations (ERISA)
- Manage participant accounts through our secure digital portal and document management systems
- Provide expert guidance to public employees on pension options, retirement planning, and survivor benefits
- Conduct regular audits of pension accounts to maintain data integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with HR departments and external agencies on pension-related matters
- Prepare comprehensive reports for state leadership and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Deep knowledge of Florida pension systems and ERISA regulations
- Proficiency with pension software (e.g., Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft) and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex financial calculations
- Excellent communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to non-finance professionals
- Experience with remote work protocols and digital collaboration tools
