Responsibilities
- Manage pension plan administration including retirement calculations, benefit distributions, and record maintenance
- Provide comprehensive participant support via phone, email, and virtual meetings during weekend shifts
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS regulations, and Tennessee pension statutes
- Analyze complex pension data using specialized software to resolve discrepancies and generate reports
- Coordinate with external auditors and legal counsel during annual compliance reviews
- Develop and deliver participant education materials on retirement planning and benefits
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to update plan documents and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or retirement benefits experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k)/403(b) regulations, and Tennessee pension laws
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and pension administration software (e.g., Millennium, Empower)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in complex financial calculations
- Exceptional customer service abilities with clear communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or similar designation preferred
