Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with calm professionalism and precise information gathering
- Operate radio communication systems for law enforcement, fire, and medical units
- Maintain Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems with real-time data entry
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide clear, concise instructions to field personnel during emergencies
- Document all communications accurately in compliance with state regulations
- Operate specialized emergency equipment including E911 mapping systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Typing minimum 40 WPM with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
