Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch emergency personnel (police, fire, EMS) using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications during critical incidents
- Update and manage case information in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Train on advanced protocols including active shooter scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Fluency in English/Spanish bilingual (highly desired)
- Clear criminal background and drug-free record
- Must pass polygraph, psychological evaluation, and background check
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong situational judgment and problem-solving skills
