Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Relay critical information to officers, firefighters, and medical personnel
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Operate radio equipment and specialized emergency response software
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stakes situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (40+ WPM)
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Must be 18+ years old
