Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems during emergencies
- Maintain detailed logs and incident reports
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies
- Train on departmental protocols and legal compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear background check and drug-free certification
- Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) in English
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, MS Office)
- Must pass psychological evaluation and polygraph test
- U.S. citizenship and valid KY driver's license
