Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio, telephone, and alarm systems under pressure
- Provide critical information to first responders
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Complete 12-week certification program with flexible scheduling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 18 years old (21+ for shift work)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Florida driver's license with clean record
- Fluent English/Spanish bilingual skills required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
