Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with precision and compassion
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and logs
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to field units via radio communication
- Operate specialized emergency equipment and communication tools
- Remain composed during high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- US citizenship and Alaska residency required
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency
- No felony convictions
