Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police units and emergency resources using CAD/RAD systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and logs
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and caller guidance
- Operate radio, telephone, and computer equipment efficiently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM (tested during application)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida Driver's License (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
