Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and CAD software during critical incidents
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources based on established protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incident activities
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Collaborate with cross-agency responders during major emergencies
- Adhere to all federal, state, and departmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age with valid Texas driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Strong knowledge of El Paso geography and infrastructure
- Experience in customer service or public safety (preferred)
- Fluency in English/Spanish bilingual skills (highly valued)
