Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and compassion
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services using CAD systems
- Maintain radio communications during critical incidents
- Document calls and actions accurately in RMS databases
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional events
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers in distress
- Operate specialized communication equipment under supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Type 35+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 21+ at time of appointment
