Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio dispatch systems for police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time resource tracking
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Strong situational judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
