Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate with police, fire, and EMS units
- Enter and maintain detailed records in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Provide critical information to field personnel and other agencies
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to strict protocols for information confidentiality and security
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification and skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (30+ WPM preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
