Responsibilities
- Answer emergency 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional professionalism
- Dispatch police units and coordinate emergency response protocols
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software
- Maintain accurate digital records of all communications and incidents
- Provide critical information to officers in the field and other agencies
- Handle high-pressure situations with composure and decisive action
- Participate in ongoing training for new dispatch technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Minimum age 18 at time of hire
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Must pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and voice stress test
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
