Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Dispatch appropriate units using CAD/RMS systems and radio communication protocols
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and update case records in real-time
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate various communication equipment per department standards
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California driver's license
- Typing minimum 40 WPM (verified during assessment)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Basic computer literacy with proficiency in Windows OS
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
