Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems with precision and urgency
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation per department protocols
- Provide clear, concise instructions to field units during emergency situations
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Utilize GIS mapping for rapid resource deployment
- Adhere to NIMS and POST certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid Maryland driver's license
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency
- Pass criminal background and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Experience in customer service or high-stress environments
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch systems
- Certification in CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire
