Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch appropriate police units using CAD/RMS systems with precision
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field personnel
- Enter/update critical incident data in real-time databases
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with other agencies (fire, EMS) during multi-agency responses
- Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously under pressure
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Typing minimum of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
- Proven ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized systems
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
