Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Process and prioritize incoming incidents using CAD systems
- Dispatch police units and provide critical information to field personnel
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and activities
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Operate radio equipment and emergency communication systems
- Remain composed during high-stress emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 35 WPM)
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions
- No felony convictions
