Responsibilities
- Learn and master multi-agency radio communication procedures during remote training modules
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and efficiency
- Utilize CAD systems to accurately document incident details and dispatch units
- Coordinate resources during critical incidents including natural disasters and active threats
- Maintain calm composure during high-pressure situations while providing life-saving instructions
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS teams in simulated real-time scenarios
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification (within last 6 months)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn complex software systems
- U.S. citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
