Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch police, fire, and medical units with precision and urgency
- Maintain constant communication with field personnel using CAD systems and radio equipment
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Enter and update real-time data in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Operate specialized communication systems including NCIC and state crime databases
- Document all interactions with meticulous attention to detail
- Participate in continuous training to maintain operational excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in computer systems and radio operations
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
