Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police/fire/EMS responses
- Enter and update critical incident data in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Participate in continuous training to maintain certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Minimum 18 years of age (21 for full certification)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and polygraph
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction in English/Spanish
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Valid California driver's license
