Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and professionalism
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Coordinate with officers, firefighters, and medical personnel during incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Strong multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office software
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- No felony convictions and good moral character
