Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and professionalism
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Utilize CAD systems for efficient resource dispatching
- Provide critical information to first responders in real-time
- Remain calm and composed during high-stress emergency situations
- Adhere to all departmental protocols and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- US citizenship or legal resident status
