Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and activities
- Provide critical information to officers and other emergency responders
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems efficiently
- Remain calm and professional during high-stress emergency situations
- Coordinate with other agencies (fire, EMS) during multi-incident responses
- Adhere to all department policies and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM) and computer proficiency
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
