Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Dispatch police units, fire, and medical services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency alerting equipment
- Provide critical information to field units and external agencies
- Utilize de-escalation techniques during high-stress interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (certification required)
- Clear English communication skills with ability to multitask
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license
