Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems with extreme accuracy and speed
- Relay critical information between officers, hospitals, and other agencies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with fire/EMS dispatchers during multi-agency incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified by test)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screen
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
