Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update information in CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical or crisis situations
- Collaborate with police, fire, and medical teams during multi-agency responses
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and protocol standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows applications
- Valid Washington State driver's license
